What Causes Dizziness After A Head Injury?

I was in a work related accident resulting with me getting hit in the back of my head behind my ear 6 years ago. For the past week and a half I have been having horrible dizzy spells that are ongoing all day and interfering with daily activities. Could this be related to my head injury from 6 years ago?
