Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a Total Laser Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (but kept ovaries) 3 months ago. My doctor said everything was healing well and I ve gone back to regular activities. Over the past week, I have had very painful bowel movements, with blood on tissue and brief dizziness after BMs. I already use probiotics and drink chamomile ginger tea to help with digestion. There is a history of colon cancer in my family. Do I need to go get checked out or is this common after a TVH?
yes bowel cancer runs In the family as it is hereditary. you should go for a colonoscopy to rule out any prevailing condition of colon. meanwhile take a course of antibiotic such tab ofloxacin+ ornidazole
