What Causes Dizziness After Taking Metroprolol?

My husband started taking metroprolol tartrate 25 mg about 2weeks ago. He already was on Losartan 100mg and amlodipine besylate 5 mg. For three days he is feeling unstable and a bit dizzy. Enough he is very bothered by the effects. I want to reduce the metroprolol and cut in half until the dr calls me back. Is this okay? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is okay to reduce Metoprolol dosage on half till he meets his doctor. He may need more time, about two weeks to get used to the new medications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
