What Causes Dizziness Along With Breathing Difficulty?
I experienced a very strange episode recently, I started feeling dizzy and broke into a sweat, I had difficulty in breathing and I had to lie down on the floor, then I noticed my hands were vibrating and the vibration got so very intense, and I realized I couldn t move my hands, they were totally rigid as if in a spasm, this lasted for about 15/20 minutes in which I tried hard not to panic and concentrate on breathing slow and deep which wasn t easy. The most alarming thing for me was the intense vibration and spasm of my hands.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It looks like more of anxiety panic episode. However, there are several other medical conditions which can present similar way, hypoglycemia is one of these. I suggest you to first consult a physician, do all necessary investigations. If everything comes normal then mostly it was an anxiety attack. For that you have to consult a psychiatrist and you may require anti-anxiety pills with some relaxation therapy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Prashant Gohil
