What Causes Dizziness Along With Fatigue?

My mother is 86 and has dizziness, unusual weakness, unusual tireness and these occur all together. This has occurred 4 times since 9/18/16. She was recently put on bp medicine after she ended up in ER with a bp of 227/101 and an UTI. But we cannot find out why she has been placed on cholesterol medicine since this event. She is in a rehab center and we cannot get the doctor to come to facility to see her.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In my opinion, when your mother was admitted for high blood pressure, the doctors would have run a few routine blood tests like lipid profile which may have shown elevated cholesterol levels and thus would have put her on cholesterol-lowering medications to reduce cardiovascular risks in future.

It would be advisable to ask your doctor and reconfirm the lipid profile reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
