What Causes Dizziness Along With Increased Heart Rate?

What are some possible causes of dreaming while awake? This is generally pre-ceded by the sense I have experienced the current thing before. Then I have a feeling of dizziness or numbness, and dreamlike thoughts. I am awake and alert during this. Generally following this, I have increased heart rate and a sensation of vertigo.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thankyou for asking your question at health caremagic.

Symptoms you are describing can be due to neurologic problems like
Seizures (simple partial seizures)
narcolepsy - sleep disorder characterized by day time drowsiness , sudden sleep attacks, loss of muscle tone and hallucinations.

You need to consult your primary care physician / neurologist to be evaluated further
You may need EEG ,sleep study and brain Imaging studies to determine the cause of your symptoms.

I recommend that you follow up with your doctor

Hope I was able to answer your question
Regards,
Lekshmi
