General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Firstly, due to old age, these are quite common. The presence of fatigue is quite common also. The nutritional aspect is also very important in this age group.

As you have lightheadedness and faint headaches, I would suggest to check Blood Pressure and keep a record of that on a regular basis. In this situation, I would suggest going for symptomatic treatments.

I would suggest some drugs which can be taken when required (not on regular basis).

1. Paracetamol+Caffeine combination during headaches

2. Domperidone (before 15 minutes of a meal) or Ondansetron for Nausea

3. Ambroxol hydrochloride syrup for mucus secretion in the morning and night.

If things get more severe, there is need to do some tests. If the mucus secretion get increased, then, there is need to do a test like Chest X-Ray and Blood Test.

As of now, you can do the above drug treatment. Also consider to inhale steam, do some light exercise, feed on healthy nutrition, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
