What Causes Dizziness Along With Nausea And Migraine During Periods?
48 year old female/ 5 4 132 lbs/ work out 4 - 5 days a week/ healty diet/ in recovery for 9 years - last 6 months - dizzyness/nausea/vertigo/trouble thinking of words - some days worse than others - has been getting progessively worse. I have had menstral migraines for years - migraine feels better when working out but returns when done. Symptoms worse around period - still have regular periods. Could homones/ peri menopause be a cause?
The same hormone that gives some women relief from migraines after menopause can cause more headaches in the months leading up to it. That's because hormone levels such as estrogen and progesterone decline during perimenopause. I suggest to use painkillers such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
