What Causes Dizziness Along With Tingling In Hands And Legs?

I felt that I am passing out last wednesday, and the same episode reoccured on Friday morning. I went to the ER they did all the tests and a heart xray, everything was normal they discharged me, but I can resume my normal life. I keep feeling dizzy, couple of times during the day as i am going to pass out with tingling on my hands and legs. please advice

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have c dizziness along with tingling in hands and legs. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like peripheral neuropathy , low potassium , multiple sclerosis , restless legs syndrome , stroke and transient ischemic attack . Dizziness/ feeling faint is usually caused due to either reduced blood flow to the brain or reduced energy supply (glucose) to the brain or a dysfunction with vestibulo cochlear system ( a system that regulates balance and equilibrium). The symptoms can also occur due to vitamin E deficiency . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor will take history , check vitals and order blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may refer you to cardiologist or orthopedic surgeon if the problem will be related to heart or muscle and bones respectively . For now do light stretching exercises and start vitamin E supplement . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for eat problem .
