Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been getting kind of lightheaded, almost blacking out for a few seconds. Happens after I bend over to pick something up usually, But I am a bit lightheaded all day. I have too much belly fat...could it be cutting off oxygen? I also drink way too much coffee...planning on stopping that as of tomorrow morning
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Possible causes of blackout may be BPPV or dehydration or low blood sugar or low blood or pressure or poor circulation or anemia or panic attack or inner ear problems or hypothyroidism, etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Drink plenty of water, avoid high risk activities, use tablet Vertin thrice a day for five. If symptoms not improved please consult your neurophysician/cardiologist they will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
