What Causes Dizziness And Blacked Out Vision?

Hi doctor. I am 27 yrs old, Female Was diagnosed with benign intracranial hypertension around 5 yrs ago. (That time had blackouts ) spinal tap was done once. Was treated with diamox and lasix. Currently I m off medications. (Stopped coz I use to feel lethargic, checked from Ophthal and Neuro they said I dont need) Recently I m having again slight blackouts mainly left side(first site of initial blackout/papilodema) With dizziness on/off. Specially when I lie on my stomach and suddenly get up. My question is whether lying on my stomach is something related with my eyes. And I am also feeling too much lethargic always . And I have recently having alot of weight. My height 5ft 3inch & weight 68 kgs( was 55~59kgs) Thankyou. Medical intern.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This sounds like postural hypo-tension and I would like you to get that ruled out first before making any diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harshita
