My friend just told me he felt lite headed and was coughing very deeply. He had no fever but at the emergency room they found low oxygen n his blood.mthey have admitted him and are running tests.mwe both know he was a heavy smoker and only quit about two years ago. He d 71 walks 3to 5 miles every day.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dizziness and chronic cough which seems to be due to lung infection and bronchospasm and not due to medications you are taking. I would suggest you to consult pulmonologist without any delay. Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test and get an x ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked for further treatment. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with decongestants and mucolytic agents. Considering his age you should also consult cardiologist once to rule out any cardiac problem. Do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Take expectorants and steam inhalation and take rest. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
