What Causes Dizziness And Confusion After Taking Cipro?
I HAVE JUST TAKEN 1 DOSE CIPRO SEVERE KIDNEY INFECTION. I AM A BIT CONFUSED ROARING IN MY HEAD. LIGHTHEADED, ACHING, T98.0. I M ALSO TAKING SEROQUEL. Could there be a reaction? Could I be septic or just confusion from infection I ve never felt like this before. Please advise
There is a risk of a reaction and it would be best to speak to your doctor and consider seriously discontinuing the ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin and Seroquel increase the toxicity (side effects ) of each other, they can affect the heart rate. This is likely the reason for the symptoms that you are experiencing. Another antibiotic can be used to treat your infection such as Augmentin or Septra, once you are not allergic to either of these drug families.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
