What Causes Dizziness And Dry Cough While On Atorvastatin?
I am a 60-year old female in good health. My only meds are 40 mg of atorvastogen for cholesterol. I am 5 ft 1 tall and weigh 135 lbs, Recently I have had dizziness, lightedness, occasional dry cough, hoarseness, I think fluid in both ears and trouble hearing in left ear. Also, a little confusion.
Used in the treatment of high blood chloesterol Atorvastatin is generally a safer medication. However, in some individuals it can cause muscle pain, weakness or tenderness, liver problem or stomach upset.
Based on the history you seem to be having some problems with your ears could be infection of the left middle ear which seem to be responsible for dizziness, trouble hearing, and occasional dry cough.
I would advise you to consult a GP or ENT specialist for proper clinical examination and appropriate treatment which may involve the use of useful antibiotics.
Hope these answer your query. A feedback is appreciated.
