What Causes Dizziness And Feeling Like Fainting While Sitting Near Parrot?

My friend has a pet parrot which is kept in the kitchen. On the last two occasions that I have visited her house, we have sat in the kitchen, and on both occasions, I have suddenly felt very sick, and when I have stood up I have felt dizzy and think I am going to faint. Both times I have sat down and the feeling passes after about half an hour. Could it be a parrot allergy? Thank you

Hello

Welcome to Healthcare magic.

I have only noticed one symptom written by you is "dizziness",on the contrary allergy to anything ,be it a parrot would create symptoms like runny or itchy nose, watery or red eyes, coughing, sneezing, breathing difficulty, itchy skin, nausea or so.You did not have any of them,so for sure you are not allergic to parrot.

Coming to your symptom you might be just low in blood sugar(hungry) during both the times coincidentally which might have lowered your blood sugar making you feel dizzy.I would have advise you to check your blood pressure ,avoid sitting by folding your knees completely and then suddenly getting up.

Hope my answers made you feel better.Have a good day
