What Causes Dizziness And Headache After Being Bit By A Tick?

My son got bit by a tick 3 weeks ago. It is red and raised at the site but no bulls eye. He has been complaining of being dizzy and a headache. I am a paramedic and I checked his sugar which was 57 ( kind of low) and his BP was 150/100. Do youth think this could be because of the tick?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The fact that the child had a tick bite a few weeks ago and now is having headache and dizziness while the area was raised and red, warrants that the child is seen by a doctor and maybe antibiotics started.
Low sugar and changes in blood pressure can happen in children when they are having certain infections and are another reason why you should have your child checked as soon as possible.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know if I may assist you further.

Regards,
