What Causes Dizziness And Hearing Loss While On Prednisone?

I had a dizzy spell earlier tonight. It started with mostly loss of hearing in my left ear. It was followed by a near fainting. It also caused some nausea. It left as quickly as it began. All-in-all, maybe 5 minutes. I just started on prednisone to treat an asthma, possible infection, likely viral in nature. I have a productive cough (green globs), but coughing comes in spells, not constant. I also take Mucinex DM, Singulare, and Chlorphenamerate (not sure about spelling of that one). I have a nebulizer and I also take Benadryl at night.

You may be suffering from acute viral bronchitis with ear or eustachian tube block with tinnitus. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet Amoxiclav 625 mg twice a day for five days. Steroid may aggravate the Infection. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
