What Causes Dizziness And How To Control Blood Pressure?

Hi there. I have a question. In the past few weeks I have had a few bouts during the day where for no particular reason I suddenly get a little bit dizzy. I will stand up completely straight mainly to keep my balance and assess what is going on. I start feeling nauseous and I feel like things are going in slow motion. Strange as this sounds it s like I can feel my brain struggling. This just started happening a few weeks ao, it only lasts about 30 seconds to a minute. Then it completely goes away and things return to normal. I am a 40 year old female and I have hardly any health issues in the past. I am very healthy. I am on blood pressure medicine, but I have been for a year now and have never had any issues. The pills I am on are the water pills. I take these because I suffered from preeclampsia with both pregnancies. Unfortunately my pressures never got better after child birth and these pills really seem to keep my pressures normal. I am so busy, it s hard for me to go see a doctor so I thought I would ask here first. D you have any ideas what this sounds like? I appreciate your time. Thanks so much.

Hello,
Your symptoms seems to be from hypotension which may be because of your medications. what actually happens here is for a brief period the blood flow to your brain reduces due to decreased preload of heart once you get up suddenly. consult your doctor who might lower your dosage. BUT DO NOT STOP DRUGS ABRUPTLY ON YOUR OWN! hope this helps. tc! :)
