What Causes Dizziness And Ill Feeling While On Niacin?
Are there withdrawal symptoms when having taken Niacin in a pure form (not Niaspan) for about 2 years 1500-2000 mg. per day for high cholesterol. Manufacturer ran out of my particular brand and I get sick on other brands, am having some made but am presently feeling dizzy and ill.
I am Dr Aimen Nasir. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
Probably these symptoms are caused by withdrawal of the Niacin drug. As you have taken this drug for a long period. These symptoms will subside after few days. If your symptoms persists you should go to your physician or to a nearby hospital.
I hope this answered your question, and if you have more please feel free to ask.
Regards.
