What Causes Dizziness And Imbalance?

I woke up at 3am and when I turned my head to the left I became very dizzy. I eventually fell asleep and when the alarm went off at 6am the same thing occured. I have a slight problem with balance but still get dizzy if I look down or turn my head to the left.

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

Regarding your query for dizziness and imbalance for last 3 days, as you said you feel dizzy whenever you turn your head right or left.

Considering all facts of your clinical history it appears that you are suffering from vertigo and that also of peripheral type (Labyrinthine vertigo).

The possible diseases are-

1- B.P.P.V.

2- Labyrinthitis.

3- Meniere's disease.

All above are self limiting and there is sufficient spontaneous recovery in vestibular system. but till restoration takes place you may take-

A- Cinnarzine.

B- Betahistine.

C- Promethazine hydrochloride.

I think by above you will happy otherwise consultation with ENT doctor will become essential.

Regards.
