What Causes Dizziness And Lightheadedness Upon Standing Up?

For about 4 days I have been having dizziness and light headedness when getting up in am from sleeping and when standing up after sitting. I am on bp medicine and plavix for a stents. I take my time before standing but lately this is really a problem. I also have mild regurgitating heart valves.

Hello
You are having lightheadeness as well dizziness when get up stand up at sudden. This amy be due to these possibilities , these include:
1 Postural hypotension , as you are taking antihypertensive drugs , so this may be the reason of such hypotension.
2 Hypoglycemia may be the another reason of such dizziness .
3 Anoximeia may be the another reason of such symptoms ( due to reduced amount of oxygen ).
Since you are also having mild degree aortic regurgitation so it is not possible to advise some medicine but consult a CARDIOLOGIST and get his opinion.
