General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Dizziness can be associated with nausea. It is most commonly related to the inner ear though there are other causes as well.

The most common inner ear causes are:
(1) BPPV- Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo
(2) Meniere's disease
(3) Vestibular neuritis- this is the most common reason

The use of medicines such as Diazepam, Dramamine, and Meclizine etcetera can help. They should be used for only a few days only. If it continues, then she should be seen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
