What Causes Dizziness And Nausea While On Dilantin?
Dr. Rhynne, I ve been taking Dilantin for two years following surgery to remove 1 of 4 meningiomas. There has been no side effects during this time. However, I have had dizziness and nausea 5 days in a row and rescheduled an MRI for next week. My question is whether or not a person can begin to respond to Dilantin differently over time? Jay

Dilantin may cause a headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, spinning sensation, drowsiness.
Dizziness also may be due to a central nervous system or cardiac problem.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet. Vertin thrice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
