Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am not someone who has ailments typically... don t have much need for even over the counter common pain killers. Don t get headaches very often, 63 yrs. old, female. In good health. This past week I woke up with a strong lightheadedness.... like my head is dizzy but not related to movement in particular. Nausea... eating doesn t help. Drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated. No pressure related to eyes, ears, ... no sinus issues... just this ache that runs down the back of my neck. Finally took Advil ... made a positive difference but when it wears off.... it is back to dizzy, nausea and I am wondering what these symptoms could be tied to?
The nausea and headache along with dizziness could be from migraine problem. For that you can be prescribed non steroid anti-inflammatory group of drug first to relieve headache. However it's advisable to rule out other causes as well by examining your ear, teeth and measuring blood pressure. I suggest you to consult physician for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Parth Goswami
