What Causes Dizziness And Noise In Head While On Metformin For Diabetes?

hi i am a type 2 diabetic i kept getting realy dizzy went drs my sugar levels were up he put me on metaformin i felt better after a week now i have been on it for 2 weeks and the last 2 days mornings i get this swishing sound in my head i feel realy odd my eyes feel like i am looking through a lens like cant see propley my legs feel heavy feel like i want to fall but i dont i go and sit down then it passes what could it be

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have problem of dizziness and noise in head while on Metformin for diabetes . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like ear infection , low blood sugar and iron level , side effects of medicine like metformin and condition like meniere's disease . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor will examine with otoscope , order complete blood tests , posturography , rotatory chair test and hearing test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( gentamicin ) , anti inflammatory and recomment hearing aid and meniett device . For now avoid bnding forward and drink green teat thrice a day .
