General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

1. Is there a burning sensation in the stomach or chest after a meal?
2. Is the pain dull, pointed, all over the chest, etc?
3. Is the pain related to deep breathe or cough?

In my opinion, it may be costochondritis. But I have to be sure and rule out other problems as well.

I would suggest you do:

1. ECG
2. X-Ray Chest
3. Blood Test including RF (Rheumatoid Factor) test
4. C-Reactive protein (CRP) level in the blood

Meanwhile, take Ibuprofen orally every 6 hours as needed. Two doses must have a gap of 6 hours.

With the test results and answers, please post here in HCM. We have many good and experienced doctors here who can follow you up. Do not worry. You are already under treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
