What Causes Dizziness And Poor Memory?

I have been experiencing dizziness, loss of balance, poor memory and my legs feel like they have weights tied to them at times. What type of physician do I see and any idea what is causing this? I am 56 year old Caucasian female who smokes and is morbidly obese. Just had annual blood work and everything looked good; cholesterol was 182, LDL was 98. PCP is scheduling mamo, gyn check up, cardio appt.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your concern

With such presentations in my clinic, I would first ruled out serious conditions related to your brain by doing a physical neurological examination and to confirm the diagnosis I may advise you MRI scan. Treatment depends upon exact findings of MRI only. So you may consult with your Neurologist.

Hope that helps
