Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness And Pressure In The Abdomen?
my husband had a heart attack about 12 years ago, he had a stent put in then. Last year he thought he was having another heart attack, luckily he hadn t had one, but another stent was placed. Recently he has been having dizzy spells and went to see doctor, blood pressure was on the low side. Doctor did blood work which appeared to be normal. My husband then bought a blood pressure monitor he uses on his wrist a few times a day. Last night the pressure was low again. Today it is better but the monitor says it is an irregular heartbeat and pulse is upper 90 s. Should I take him to the hospital? He says he feels okay, but that he feels odd.
For this reason, if he is feeling lightheaded or shortness of breath, I would recommend going to the ER for a physical exam, a resting ECG and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, etc.).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
