What Causes Dizziness And Pulsations In The Head?

I feel dizzy and when I stand have a pulsating sensation in my head and upper chest. I have had it checked out before at the hospital and they found absolutely nothing. My own doctor thinks it might be a form of a migraine headache or dehydration. I am experiencing no pain and am generally very healthy and am in every good physical condition. I m writing for a little additional insight.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Feeling dizziness and a feeling of pulse in chest mostly might be a simple case of orthostatic hypotension, meaning when you get up suddenly from sitting or lying down position, the blood pooled in the legs take slightly more time to reach the the heart. This leads the brain sensing reduced blood flow, so to counter this situation, it signals the heart to work faster and harder.

This by itself is not a reason to worry. Just make sure to stand up slowly.

Hope I have been of help to you.

Thanks again.
