What Causes Dizziness And Shortness Of Breath While On Aspirin?
3 week post op for total knee replacement. was on lovenox now on aspirin for 25 more days-- feels excellent except has been experiencing light-headedness and dizziness upon getting up and if walking very far at all- has shortness of breath. why? could it be from blood thinners? after effects of anestesia?
As the metabolism is slowed down and on medication for high blood pressure, infection and pain this could be temporarily present but will vanish.
Also, while in Operation there is a loss of blood and for the blood to get balanced it asked the physiological system some time. Shortness of breath will be presented for now but will vanish soon.
Follow the postoperative rehabilitation of TKR. You should do well and nothing more to worry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
