What Causes Dizziness And Stomach Upset While On Acetaminophen?

I have been taking two acetaminophen tablets each night for many months to help me sleep. For the last month I have had significant difficulty with low blood pressure (90/65), dizziness, light headed, slight stomach upset, mental confusion, loss of appetite, weakness, and a few other symptoms. I went to the ER and had cat scan, ultrasound on my carotids, ekg, and all were negative. My doctors have reduced or stopped my other medications with no impact on the problem. I stopped taking acetaminophen last night. Could my problems be relate to an allergic problem with acetaminophen?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this is related to acetaminophen intake. Probably due to liver intoxication from overdosing acetaminophen.

You can stop it to improve symptoms.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
