What Causes Dizziness And Tinnitus After An Electrocution?

My fiance was electrocuted yesterday on a power line feeding to a house. It was in his upper shoulder and head area. It burnt his shirt and some facial hair. He has a metal plate in his jaw, which caused a burning sensation. He did not get medical care. He said his ears were ringing later that day. Today his ears are still ringing and he also has a horrible headache, dizziness and vomiting. Could this be a side effect or only coincidence? Should he seek medical attention?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is the history of electric current that ran through the system and it must have caused burnt tissue or at least damage to the tissue.

Looking at the symptoms given here, it may not be due to electric shock burning but it cannot be neglected and it has to be investigated. For that, time plays a great role, if days are gone since the accident has happened then the present symptoms may not be due to electric shock, it could be due to something else.

Hope I have answered your query, let me know for further assistance.
