I woke up this morning extremely dizzy. I sat up in bed and vommited. No pain anywhere. Wasn t able to walk so layed back down. Sat up again like 1 hour later had dry heaves. Drank water and that came up. Walked to bathroom holding onto walls because I was so dizzy. I wasn t able to walk straight. The feeling of dizziness I ve never had before, was very extreme. I ve been in bed all day afraid to get up and fall. Feeling somewhat better now at least able to write this but laying down. 56 and female.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
It's something called Positional vertigo which is caused by the imbalance inside your ear. It can be treated with a simple procedure called Epley's test. And with some anti vertigo medication. Like Prochlorperazine. It's better if you get an Ent consult and do the manouvre. And you can also practice waking up slowly from your bed. No sudden bending down or getting up from bed.
Thank you.
