What Causes Dizziness And Weakness While On Flagyl?

My partner finished a 14-day Flagyl treatment for C-diff one week ago. He is still having dizziness when rising from sitting or lying down, is still having loose stools, and is generally weak. He did not have the dizziness or weakness before starting Flagyl. He also resumed drinking wine 3 days after finishing the treatment and it seems to affect him much faster than before taking Flagyl. We went on a walk last night and he was a bit off balance at first, but by the time we finished, he was hardly able to walk. He is seeing his GI doctor the first of the week to see if he still has the C-diff. He also recently dieted on Nutrisystems and lost 18 lbs. That was before being diagnosed with C-diff. He does not look well to me. His color is ashen and his eyes seem a bit sunken. Could these symptoms be C-diff or Flagyl related, or something else?

I evaluated your concern in depth .
* Dizziness & weakness is not related to flagyl , but it indicates underlying
inflammatory process going on in the body .
reasons may be - low hemoglobin - low blood pressure - altered
electrolytes - vitamins , trace elements deficiency - low immunity -decrease
oral intake - inadequate absorption of nutrients by the intestines -
frequency of stools giving fluid loss & so many .
* Loose motions are only in relation with C-diff .
@ Maintain his hydration till you reach your doctor .
I strongly recommend you to get the patient hospitalised , his condition
is not stable , he require intensive management in the hospital set up .
