What Causes Dizziness, Breathlessness With Arm Weakness And Mild Chest Pain?

Had an episide of extreme light headedness dizziness shortness of breath yesterday. Along with extreme weakness in arms. Felt like I was going to pass out and something was very wrong. That subsided after an hour and h a lf...was very fatigued all day and very cold. Also had sporadic mild shoulder and chest pain...very mild. Could not fall asleep as my body was either cold with chills or hot. I am 45 female... have bern noticing different things but tgey go away . Feeling better today

Hi welcome to HCM.

I understand your concern.The pattern of symptoms in your case are strongly related to underlying Coronary heart disease.This can compromise the degree of blood flow reaching the heart muscle there by causing chest pain at rest or exertion.The pain can be felt all along the arm in some patients.Breathlessness on exertion is a characteristic finding.I advise you to have a baseline EKG and a screening 2 dimensional echocardiography of the heart to assess the cardiac reserve and to rule out organic lesions.Definitive management consists of percutaneous coronary intervention in the form of stenting of the involved coronary vessels.Discuss the above with your cardiologist.Post your further queries if any.
