What Causes Dizziness, Lightheadedness And Tingling In Arms?
Hello, I woke up this morning, feeling dizzy, lightheaded, tingling down both arms. It lasted about 10 minutes. I have had 3 other spells throughout the day. My sugar was 117, I am 70 years old. I am low in Vitamin D, and I take 50,000 units once a week. I am also on quite a few meds.
1. In old age the above said symptoms are commonly due to cervical spondilitis thus check with general physician regarding X-ray Cervical spine- [AP & Lateral]
2. Apart from this you should check with Hb%, ENT and Ophthalmic checkup.
3. If above said symptoms are associated with any neurological sign, seek Neurologist opinion along with Cardiologist consultation.
4. Since you are on medications, make sure they are not anti hypertensive medications which may cause the same due to excess dose or postural hypotension.
PS. If all the parametres comes normal could be GAD [generalised anxiety disorder] which is common in old age.
