What Causes Dizziness, Lightheadedness, Faint Hearing With Cold Sweating After Alcohol Ingestion?
It's happened only a few times, I've been out eating dinner and drinking alcohol (but not drunk) and all of a sudden I get very light-headed, dizzy, my hearing goes faint, and I start to sweat (cold sweat) but feel warm. I feel a bit ill in the stomach, but don't vomit. It lastest only for a few minutes until I run outside and get some fresh air then I'm all fine and feel a little scattered after it. What do you think this could be attributed to?
Hello It happens when you are not taking much water along with alcohol as alcohol makes you dehydrated. You need to drink lots of water to maintain the blood pressure and circulation to your brain. When you drink alocohol your blood pressure goes down and oxygenated blood doesnt reach your brain fast enough causing dizzyness and sweating. Sweating increases the dehydration resulting in increase of the cause. Take loads of water with alcohol and avoid to much alcohol as hypotension can sometimes result in loosing consiousness and you could hit your head somewhere when falling suddenly. Thank you
