What Causes Dizziness , Loss Of Appetite And Headache?

85 yo female , overweight, has been experiencing dizziness and a headache for 1 days. She is visiting from out of state. she is oriented x4, no loss in appetite, no loss of range of motion, able to hold a cane in both hands. should I take (Mom) to ED? she reports she is fine, but is sleeping a lot!

Thank you for your question on HCM! I appreciate your concern.

I think that her symptoms may be caused by a cervical spondylarthrosis or a viral infection. I don't think that her symptoms are caused by a stroke.

I would recommend you to consult her with the GP, perform a blood analysis for anemia or infection, liver and renal function tests and thyroid function tests. I would also recommend to monitor her blood pressure.
A low blood pressure could cause a similar clinical scenario.
