What Causes Dizziness, Nausea And Headache?

I have dizziness, nausea and headaches in my forehead. Was down all day Sunday due to those symptoms, felt okay until today, got the same symptoms and unable to go to work. Was just in Cancun last week, flew back on Friday, my right ear didn t pop--could that have brought on the above symptoms? Taking ibuprophen, pepto bismol and resting. Could I have some infection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Because your symptoms are not continuous but you get better and then they come back the 2 most common causes are tension headache and migraine. It seems less likely to be related to the ears or the sinuses.

You can take ibuprofen and paracetamol together as soon as the headache starts. If you notice this does not help enough you can try to take drugs that treat migraine (Sumatriptan).

Still it is safer for you to see a doctor and make sure which of these is the cause of the symptoms and take the proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
