General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Anxiety is a possible cause of the symptoms but first other medical conditions should be ruled out.

If you have not had any blood tests done in the last 1-2 years this might be a good time to have them done. The most common tests to perform are: CBC, ESR, creatinine and electrolytes, fasting blood sugar, lipids, ALT, AST, Bilirubin, TSH and urinalysis and ECG.

If the physical examination and blood tests come out normal then anxiety can be a possible cause even though you don't feel anxious. Sometimes anxiety shows up with physical symptoms and in a few cases the patients don't necessarily feel anxious.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
