What Causes Dizziness, Sore Back And Neck With A History Of Vertigo?

Sitting on the couch suddenly feeling dizzy. soreness in upper back and back of neck. tried to lay down with feet up and it made it worse especially with my head back against the floor. Not vertigo but feeling that could possibly come on. Had vertigo chronically 11 years ago for a few months so I know that feeling. Not sure what this is. Pulse is 62. Hydrated and fed. 50 years male 5 8 195 lbs. No history of this. Seems to be improving.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take drugs like betahistine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
