Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I take oxybutrynin, which makes me dry and can make one dizzy. I take other meds that can cause dizziness. I take metoprolol BID and Lamital QD for blood pressure. I take NSAID Meloxicam for extensive O-arthritis. I went off 30 mg duloxetine after July 26--accidentally cold turkey because I was out of town over a week without it. I have stayed off it because it can also cause dizziness & stomach bleeding, etc. However, the sudden withdrawal has made me quite dizzy, that combined with the high altitude when I was in the mts. (I live in Denver), so a nurse last night suggested Meclizine till I get less dizzy & have less mental fog, but I m not sure it won t be a problem too. Tomorrow I have to drive my husband home from day surgery way across town.
It is not related to oxybutynin. Conditions like anemia and thyroid dysfunction have to be ruled out. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
