What Causes Dizziness While Rolling And Rising From Bed?
This is my third experience with dizziness in the last 5 years. The first & second episodes disappeared in 6 weeks. It s now been over 2 months & I experience dizziness when rolling around & rising from bed. I m fine during the day with the exception of looking up. I understand it might be BPPV & there is an exercise that I can perform. Can you explain it? Should it be performed during episodes or when they have completely disappeared & can be used as a preventative.
Understanding your concern. As per your query dizziness while rolling and rising from bed can occur due to many reasons like middle ear infection , some kind of growth in middle ear or fluid in middle ear ( Meniere's disease ) . You should not ignore this , because sometimes the condition get complicated and hot something in your hand like stick whil getting up from bed. i would suggest you to start with antibiotics, steroids and labrynthine sedatives for 5 to 7 weeks. you should go for vestibular rehabilitation exercises. You should consult with your ENT specialist and get evaluated. Doctor may order audiometry test and tuning fork test and treat it accordingly. Avoid touching and pricking it with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
