What Causes Dizziness While Standing After Having Hysterectomy?
I had a hysterectomy a month ago that required a blood transfusion. In the last few days, I ve been experiencing dizziness every single time I stand up, no matter how slowly I rise. I saw the nurse, and my BP was normal. I have occasional trouble with light-headedness in general, but never this often.
I can understand your concern. As you have been through a major surgery just a month ago, you must be feeling little weakness due to blood loss and all the toll surgery has taken on you. In addition, you must be taking lots of painkillers and antibiotics that can cause lightheadedness and dizziness.
You should take rest and have carbohydrate and energy-rich diet. Keep your fluid intake high. If this does not work, you can talk with your surgeon regarding medicines you are given and ask if any of them can cause such symptoms and can be controlled by reducing dose or changing the molecule.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. I wish you recover soon!
