What Causes Dizziness While Suffering From An Ear Infection?
Hi, I ve been real lightheaded and dizzy for 2 weeks now. I ve been treated by a doctor for an ear problem and ..he put me on a dose of steroids. I been on them for 12 days now and am not getting any better. I have a time getting around without grabbing the walls. It is affecting my vision a little bit to focus. When riding in a car it is miserable, cant focus on objects. Thank You
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service. I reviewed your query and here is my advice. I think it is an inner ear infection. Mostly it is a viral infection so it doesn't need antibiotics. You can take benadryl for nausea and vomiting. Your doctor can give you meclisine for dizziness and promethazine for vomiting. You can use at home garlic oil or tea tree oil ear drops, apple cider vinegar, basil, olive oil, and hydrogen peroxide Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
