1. going to your case and medical history, mine symptomwise approach in such case will be:
i. If a hypertensive patient complains of
dizziness, it may be due to excess dose or
postural hypotension. Put the patient to
bed rest, stop the drug for a day, then adjust the dose or use a different drug.
ii. As taking medication for Afib: thus following points are worth mentioning:
- as you will be taking an
anticoagulant for stroke prevention in Afib, thus check with your INR [international normalized ratio] regularly.
- as you might be taking pills to control heart rate: thus they can cause an irregular heartbeat and dizziness.
