What Causes Dizziness While Suffering From Sciatica In The Legs?

I have had minor issues with foot (bottom) nerve pain on my right side in the past. Suddenly it started on my left side. After many weeks of off and on pain one day I woke up and was very dizzy when I tried to get up. I have had this happen before but this was worse. I used nose spray as this has helped before. It did help again. Of note was that the foot seemed to get better but did not completely go away.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The pain may or may not be linked to your dizzy episode. If the dizziness improved with the use of a nasal spray, it is possible that it may be related to your sinuses.

Sinus disease is one cause of dizziness. In other persons may be related to the inner ear. Neuralgia ( nerve-related pain), can cause residual discomfort.

There are different causes for neuralgia as well, the specific cause can be determined by a blood test, imaging and examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
