What Causes Dizziness?

My mother Keep getting dizzy and it lasts for up to two days, she says she feels like shes on a carnival ride ...her head is swimming or somthing like that, What would cause this...she is 64 and has Diabeties..but her blood test doesnt look bad during these time..
