I had surgery in 2010 for cervical myelopathy, however my symptoms continue to worsen, including dizziness, poor balance, difficulty walking, falls, numbness and weakness on left side of body, and burning on right side. I find that my startle reflex is super sensitive causes me to spasm from the abdomen out. I have also had seizures while in recovery after surgeries. I have spasms every day, but some days they are more pronounced. My neurologist thinks I have transverse myelitis and should get a baclofen pump. This scares me. I am working, but am afraid if I lost my job I could not afford to have it filled. Is there any new treatments for transverse myelitis?
