Hello!
Welcome to HCM!
I read your question carefully and understand your concern.
Your symptomatology seems to be a little complicated and a comprehensive differential diagnosis of different disorders which may be causing your symptoms should be performed:
- A
cardiac arrhythmia could cause a similar clinical scenario, but would not explain the numb fingers and neck pain. It is necessary that besides the results of the 24 hours ECG monitoring, to perform a cardiac ultrasound in order to rule in/out any possible cardiac arrhythmia.
- A
cervical spondylosis, or disc displacement. This would explain tha pain in your neck associated with dizziness and finger numbness. A cervical spine x ray is necessary. Further tests may be needed ( like a cervical spine MRI).
- An aorta dissection, could cause chest pain irradiated in your neck and arms.
- TIA (
transient ischemic attack). The episode of
high blood pressure and numbness in your right limbs is very suggestive of possible TIA. A brain MRI is necessary to exclude other intracranial causes that may mimic this clinical scenario.
I recommend performing some lab tests like : a
complete blood count, fasting glucose, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes, and thyroid hormone levels. You should know that
hyperthyroidism can be related to episodes of high blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmia.
Further tests for metabolic disorders (like urinary metanephrines for
pheochromocytoma etc.), may be necessary to establish the possible diagnosis.
Hope to have been of help!
Best wishes,
Dr. Iliri
